Andy Curry is a rock / country / blues / folk / pop / whatever songwriter based in the north of England. He wields songs about gin, hot showers, shotgun marriages, escaping from Manchester, vampires, lifeboats and being beaten up on a wet Thursday night. Andy also often plays with his band. The culmination of an extended series of bets - The Andy Curry Band sees the eponymous songwriter turning his one-man acoustic songs into loud, noisy, distorted slices of rootsy joy.
The Band are: Andy Curry (guitars, vox), Alexander King (drums, vox), Jim Stafford (bass) and Andy Payne (keys, vox). There are often others.
The Andy Curry Band has previously supported the likes of American Music Club, King Creosote, James Yorkston, Gravenhurst and Jeremey Warmsley amongst many others.
Andy is also bass player for post-punk rock band GLASS. Come see him pretend to be other people.
